This was my experience attempting to read The Name of the Rose:
Page 1–”Adso seems very intent on telling us something vitally important…I wonder what it is?”
Page 20–”Yay, a murder mystery! This ought to be good.”
Page 75–*scratches head* “When all the monks stop arguing about who-knows-what, maybe we can actually get to it.”

I read a review once that said this book automatically brings your IQ up when you read it. I’m going to agree and disagree with that statement - it implies that other books don’t, which makes me wonder what else the reviewer has been reading, because I’ve felt “very smart” after reading a lot of [...]

I was very leery of this book when I purchased it. Judging from the synopsis it just didn’t strike me as a book that was or would be interesting to me. Don’t get me wrong I love a good mystery & thought this one was an interesting mystery, I found it lacking [...]
